Board-certified vascular surgeon Dr. Ford has the requisite knowledge, training, and experience to accurately treat the full spectrum of vascular disorders. Vascular Solutions is a full-service destination for any type of vein (or vascular) problem. We treat the full spectrum of vein disorders, ranging from simple cosmetic spider veins all the way through to complex vein problems and leg ulcers (wounds).
A native of Melbourne, Australia, Dr. Ford received his medical training at the internationally renowned Monash University School of Medicine. Upon relocating to the United States in 2000, he completed his General Surgery residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo, followed by fellowship training in Vascular Surgery at the University of North Carolina (UNC), Chapel Hill.
From 2007-2014 Dr. Ford served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at UNC, where he was responsible for teaching and mentoring medical students, surgical residents and vascular surgery trainees in addition to caring for complex vascular surgery patients.
The co-author of several publications in surgical journals, Dr. Ford has also co-authored several chapters in surgical textbooks. In addition, he has delivered multiple Grand-Rounds presentations on vascular surgery topics, and has presented at regional surgical meetings.
Board-certified in both General Surgery and Vascular Surgery, Dr. Ford also holds the credentials of Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). He is a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery (SVS) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Ford has a special interest in the management of varicose veins, venous disease, and vascular disorders.
In his spare time Dr. Ford enjoys mountain-biking, skiing, and spending time with his wife Katie, and his three children.
Kristin is a Physician Assistant who joined Vascular Solutions in January 2016.
Since graduating from PA school 16 years ago, Kristin has worked as a surgical PA, spent a short time in gastroenterology, and worked as a radiology PA for 7 years.
Kristin works together with Dr. Ford and the other team members performing history and physical examinations.
While not at work Kristin enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her husband and three kids.

Brian joined Vascular Solutions in 2013 after spending many years working in local hospitals. A registered diagnostic medical sonographer, he holds credentials in abdominal, ob/gyn and vascular ultrasound.
Since 2007, Brian has been a board member of the North Carolina Ultrasound Society, one of the largest of its kind in the US. He is also an adjunct faculty member at his alma mater, South Piedmont Community College.
Don’t be surprised if you catch Brian humming a tune during an ultrasound procedure. His first major in college was music! He also enjoys riding his bicycle on the greenways.

Danny Dye boasts 19 years of ultrasound experience – 12 of them at Vascular Solutions. Certified in vascular ultrasound (RVT), abdominal ultrasound (RDMS), and X-ray (RTR), Danny plays a key role in determining the extent of a patient’s venous problem and helping Dr. Ford create a game plan for treatment.
When he is not at work, Danny enjoys hunting and fishing, Steelers football, and spending time with his wife and children.

Lesley Riley, LPN began her nursing career in 2007, working in Pediatrics, Mohs Micrographic Surgery, General and Cosmetic Dermatology, and Vascular Surgery. She joined Vascular Solutions in April 2017, where Lesley serves as our lead Licensed Practical Nurse, assisting with vascular procedures, surgeries, pre & post-operative care.
Outside of the office Lesley enjoys sports (Go Panthers & Duke!), outdoor activities, especially being on the water, photography and working out. She spends her vacation time traveling. Lesley is dedicated to local and global volunteering. She has been on short-term medical mission trips to Belize, Nicaragua and Haiti.

Prior to joining our team in July 2016 Daphne received her CNA (Certification Nursing Assistant)
certification in June 2015 and worked at Bayada providing basic care to patients. At Vascular
Solutions Daphne works closely with all team members assisting with patient care, language
barriers and the overall patient experience.
Outside of the office Daphne enjoys hanging out with friends and family and loves dancing

Kirsten joined our team September 2016. As practice manager she is passionate about
working with her dedicated staff to provide seamless patient care and an excellent
patient experience. : Kirsten has been in the medical sector for over eleven years
starting her career with women’s health and as a practice manager for the last six years.
On her days off Kirsten loves spending time with her boys and their many activities
including camping and attending NASCAR races. Kirsten loves bowling and all outdoor

Jessica handles all insurance pre-authorizations for office procedures as well as insurance reimbursements at Vascular Solutions. She joined our practice in 2011, after receiving certifications in Medical Administrative Assisting and Medical Billing and Coding at TechSkills, Charlotte campus.
Prior to coming here, Jessica spent seven years in the retail customer service industry as an Operations Manager and Customer Service Manager.
Outside of the office, Jessica invests her time in her family and their quality of life. Together they enjoy good grilled food, good music, good drinks, and lots of smiles.

Patients appreciate Stephanie’s enthusiasm and knowledge of the health care business. After starting as a pharmacy technician at Eckerd Pharmacy at the age of sixteen, she has worked her way up in the medical field. Stephanie does an excellent job at Vascular Solutions, assisting patients with scheduling appointments and assisting patients with insurance questions.
Married with two children, Stephanie enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is also a movie buff.

Joselyn is a patient representative who recently joined Vascular Solutions in July of 2017. Although Joselyn doesn’t have much prior experience in the medical field, she is determined in continuing to provide exceptional customer service. She assists in a variety of activities related to patient intake and care ensuring that she serves great customer service as the first point of contact for patients. On her days off, Joselyn enjoys spending time with her boys. Every weekend entails a new adventure for them.
